Senior Manager of Strategic Business Development

Job Description :



This position will be responsible for developing customer relationships and promoting new solutions in procurement system integrations. In addition, this position will also be responsible for full cycle project management pertaining to leads, prospects, and customers; providing the best solutions, negotiating business conditions, and contracting/installing integrations.


  Responsible for setting business development plans on annual, quarterly, and/or monthly basis.

  Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.

  Evaluate and implement appropriate solutions for purchase/procurement representatives.

  Cold call as appropriate to CIO/IT directors, Procurement Officer/directors, or buyers to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.

  Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging the network.

  Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.

  Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet targets.

  Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.

  Work with the product sales team to interface with current customers, eliminating customer disruption and maximizing the corporate wide efficiency of activities.

  Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system.

  Handle objections by clarifying and emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to create a positive conclusion.

  Work closely with project managers and technical team members at corporate headquarters.

  Understand company goals to continually enhance company performance.

  Reports activities and action plans to Senior Management on weekly or daily basis.

  Other tasks as needed for successful project completion.



Required Qualifications :

  Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, or related area is preferred.

  7+ years of business to business sales or business development experience. Experience in selling or consulting software, IT solutions is preferred.

  Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and conflict management skills.

  Excellent presentation, verbal/written, and communication skills.

  Strong research and strategic analysis skills.

  Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Applications.

  Strong organization and ability to manage deadlines and budgets.
