 Digital Analytics Technology Manager

The Technology Manager will be responsible for driving technology strategy, data integration and syndication, as well as analytics, across a global business with offices in Chicago and China. This role will work closely with different business functions to design and build out the Data Integration tool sets at Handy. This role will also be responsible for helping to select and implement consumer product related platforms such as Product Lifecycle Management, Product Information Management, and Demand Planning/Forecasting. This will be both a strategic role that brings leadership in forward-looking digital architectures as well as provide tactical solutions to support daily operations. The candidate must have a combination of strong customer interaction skills, visioning and planning skills, analytical data insights, platform and data architecture skills and hands on implementation and operations skills.


Primary Responsibilities
• Provide overall functional leadership for development and support of Business Intelligence, data integration, and data management.
• Be proficient in BI and Data Management processes, technologies and architectures.
• Help the organization better optimize its daily data activities by collaborating with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery.
• Oversee the ongoing development and operations of analytical tools such as Demand Planning, Forecasting, PIM and syndication.
• Integrate new direct-to-consumer, e-commerce platform into our current, b-to-b environment.
• Implement processes and logic to extract, transform, and distribute data across one or more data stores from a wide variety of sources.
• Provide day to day hands on support for daily reporting and data integration needs


 


Required Qualifications :

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining BI applications, data management processes and data integration platforms.
• 5+ years of experience leading and managing system projects.
• Experience with BI tools required. SQL experience preferred.
• Experience with consumer product technology platforms such as PLM, PIM and Demand Planning.
• Experience with Data Integration platforms. Talend or similar experience is preferred.
• Experience integrating with ERP and systems like Apprise and Vanguard
• Management style that exhibits high energy, strategic and analytical thinking, collaboration, direct communication and results orientation.
• Understanding of SEO and how to drive content to increase sales.
• The ability to balance between day to day support needs and project initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills required.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Digital/Cloud platform experience preferred.
