IT Support Specialist


Essential functions and major areas of responsibility:

      Oversee the management of office computers, phone system, servers, network infrastructure, security system and Internet.

      Support end-users by overseeing the helpdesk, employee onboardings, department transfers and offboardings. Educate users on new and changing technologies to better enable their day to day work.

      Support internal fleet of computers by maintaining Active Directory, Windows Software Update System and Group Policies.

      Proactively limit exposure to security threats by applying software updates and security patches, maintaining appropriate user permissions for systems and shared resources, and supporting company security and surveillance systems.

●      Performs other tasks as assigned.




Required Qualifications :

Required qualifications and knowledge:

●      Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related computer field

●      2+ years of hands-on IT professional experience, with progressive responsibility

●      Experience managing a fleet of computers and printers using Microsoft Active Directory, WSUS, Sysprep and Clonezilla or similar imaging platform.

●      Experience managing network infrastructure and technologies, including DHCP, DNS, network switches, VLANs and Spanning Tree

●      Experience managing a Shoretel or similar IP based phone system


Desired qualifications and knowledge:

●      Knowledge of Apple Configurator and Meraki or other MDM is a plus

●      Customer support and helpdesk experience

●      High attention to detail, effective communication and problem solving skills

●      Capable of prioritizing, planning and executing IT projects of varying size
