- Routing protocol knowledge (OSPF, BGP) 

- Configuration/ Setup/ Troubleshooting

- SIP knowledge 

- IPSEC VPN Setup/ Configuration knowledge

The Network Engineer is a knowledgeable, talented and industrious individual responsible for establishing and maintaining the performance of the company network environment and its support of employees and client-facing services.  The Network Engineer fulfills a wide variety of evaluation, installation, maintenance, and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction. As the Network Engineer, you will also develop documentation, plan projects and provide technical recommendations provide solutions for challenges in networks carrying voice, data and video for a range of customers.


  • Participate in on-call support rotation

  • Possess a thorough understanding of the interactions and dependencies of core Internet technologies (server operating systems, DNS, network security, IP routing, load balancing, SSL and IPSEC VPN, email routing, web servers, scripting, SD-WAN, etc.)

  • Deploy and update firewalls (Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco), support managed security appliances and manage VPN services for access to vital business applications

  • Design, configure and support complex route/switch environments, as well as wireless networking, that provide open or secured access as well as the ability to prioritize voice and video applications

  • Assist in the design, documentation and maintenance of multi-tenant network environments including IP address schemes, DNS, etc.

  • Configure and install automation platforms for network and telecommunication systems

  • Maintain multi-site network operations, software applications, and operating systems

  • Develop and execute roadmaps for improving monitoring and automation processes

  • Perform regular maintenance within private and public facilities

  • Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance to timelines and established business objectives

  • Answer inquiries from a variety of sources to provide technical assistance and support

  • Supervise systems and network-related servers to ensure the secure and reliable delivery of services to authorized users

  • Manage support escalations and collaborate across domains to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues and restore services involving network hardware, hosted services, software applications, telephones and security systems

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to strengthen front-line (Tier 1/2/3) support staff


Required Qualifications :


  • 5-10 years of experience in a technical, analytical and interpersonal driven environment

  • Current CCNA and/or CCDA certification; additional certifications as required by management

  • Experience maintaining network security through proper development and enforcement of technology and processes standards

  • Ability to clearly communicate, via written and verbal methods, in a polite and professional manner to internal and external customers

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a small business environment

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with no restrictions and possess reliable transportation

  • Are self-directed and focused on continuous learning and research

  • Availability in response to needs of the customer for installation, maintenance, and equipment malfunctions

  • Retain familiarity with various network types including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN and SAN

  • VPN, IPSec and tr



  • Cisco Unified Communication Manager Configuration and infrastructure

  • Asterisk

  • FreeSWITCH

  • Experience in deploying and supporting architecture for VoIP-intensive applications, familiar with QoS and DSCP

  • Juniper JunOS

  • Windows Server 2003 & 2008; Exchange and/or SQL experience

  • Scripting and programming languages (PERL, Python, etc.)

  • DevOps experience

  • Experience with virtualization (VMWare) and associated components

  • Experience with cloud-based IaaS platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Experience with multi-tenant datacenter network architecture and technologies
