Job Description :




We are looking for a payroll expert to lead our operations team as a 1099 consultant (partnering with our technical team) to create the next level in payroll processing, including requirements gathering and gap analysis. As a member of the business process design team, this role will oversee the development and implementation of an RFP (Request for Proposal) process for a new payroll system to be used by 330 franchise locations across the U.S.




JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Payroll specific solution consulting including: requirements gathering and gap analysis, participating in business process design, performing system demonstrations, leading franchisee workshops, partnering with the technology team for system configuration, creating functional specifications and developing custom requirements, unit testing and supporting subsequent testing efforts and issue resolution, as well as providing support for post go-live activities;




  • With strong thought leadership by bringing specific payroll expertise to the table, partners with over 330 franchise locations to understand their business and related needs to incorporate new processes, tools and approaches when recommending a payroll solution;




  • Delivers a comprehensive solution and drives the project forward by partnering with our technology team to deliver the best solution for business needs by analyzing and supporting existing systems, interface requirements and business processes;




  • Builds relationships and trust with the technology team by driving the project plan, priorities, and timelines, while identifying risks and issues as they arise, communicating them appropriately;




  • Manages the RFP (Request for Proposal) process by identifying the right capabilities and specifications in finding the right companies to partner with who will lead us forward to payroll processing excellence.




  • Recommends the solution to senior leadership and provides end-to-end support to franchisees;







Required Qualifications :




REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • BA/BS degree in business, finance or operations

  • At least 10 years of U.S. payroll experience specific to: federal, state and local wage and hour regulations as well as exposure to and command of the FLSA.

  • Required experience with general ledger, interface and posting to finance. (Canada payroll experience is a plus

  • Experience with recommending multiple payroll solutions including small, medium and large corporate environments

  • Can handle ambiguity, and as applicable, self-direct and guide others on logical next steps;

  • Has played the role of lead in multiple end-to-end implementation projects;

  • Expertise in related business processes including integration with related modules

  • Ability to gather, analyze, weigh inputs/evidence; evaluate issues and come to an unbiased conclusion and/or options; and provide a recommendation for a specific course of action;










  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts and issues to a non-technical audience;




  • Commitment to quality and customer service;




  • A desire to share knowledge with project teams, franchisees and leadership;




  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently;




  • Capable of generating and introducing new ideas, concepts, or strategies;




  • Work experience or certifications in networking, database usage, SQL desired;




  • Experience and / or formal training in project management desired;




  • Some experience conducting training sessions is helpful;




  • Travel, as required.
