Job Description :
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead technical design, planning, and implementation of our hardware and operating system strategies. This role will serve as a technical expert with direct influence over the design and implementation of our trading systems. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have a strong sense of ownership and be driven to provide creative technical solutions to business problems. 



Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive efforts to continuously improve and maintain our low latency Linux based trading environments 

• Develop solutions to automate and improve operational reliability and efficiency 

• Serve as a technical operating system expert, driving change to adopt new standards, maintain reliability and improve performance metrics 

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to improve existing hardware strategy including standards, life-cycle periods, vendor management and capacity planning 

• Stay current with the latest technology trends in the industry 

• propose, evaluate and implement new solutions 
Required Qualifications :
Skills and Experience: 

• Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration including kernel management, file systems, and networking 

• Architectural design knowledge of storage and backup technologies 

• Strong working knowledge of virtualization solutions 

• Experience with configuration management systems, such as Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Chef 

• Regular work exposure to Python and Git version control 

• Previous cloud experience 

• Exposure to Windows Active Directory and Group Policy 

• Functional knowledge of SQL and working with databases is desirable 

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment 

• Motivated to identify and problem solve issues in a timely manner 

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop and present ideas clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical team members 

• High degree of flexibility and adaptability 

• comfortable in a dynamic working environment 

• Knowledge of the financial industry is preferred
